Alexis believes that everyone deserves to feel seen, understood, and empowered to become the best versions of themselves. She strives to help individuals gain deeper insight into who they are and what they need to thrive. With genuine curiosity and compassion, Alexis creates a supportive space where clients can work on creating or maintaining fulfilling relationships and a life that aligns with their values and goals. Alexis believes that it takes strength and bravery to seek therapy, and her warm acceptance and ability to meet people where they are helps clients feel comfortable and at ease throughout the counseling process.

Alexis is especially passionate about supporting new parents, individuals experiencing stress with life transitions and identity issues, couples struggling with intimacy and connection, and individuals experiencing anxiety and panic attacks. Alexis utilizes a variety of evidence-based counseling approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. She recognizes that every client brings unique experiences, challenges, and strengths to counseling, and she tailors her approach to meet each individual's needs. Alexis believes that finding a counselor with whom you feel comfortable being your authentic self is essential for meaningful growth, lasting change, and healing.

Alexis earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Development, Family, and Community Studies from the University of Illinois and her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She also holds a Professional Educator License with a School Counselor endorsement from Northern Illinois University.

Outside of her professional work, Alexis enjoys outdoor adventures, exercising, teaching group fitness classes, reading the latest Carly Fortune novel, exploring new parks with her kids, and going on dates with her husband.
